A long-term study called The Framingham Heart Study asked female participants, aged between 45-64 years when they went on vacations. A follow-up study was done 20 years later and it was seen that women who went on holidays every six years or less were at a much lower risk of developing heart problems.

If you are ever stuck for ideas, going on a holiday might help you. A study published in the journal Personality and Social Psychology Bulletin talks about how travelling helps enhance creativity. This happens because while travelling, you are experiencing many new things and are getting to see new cultures. That can really help you get more creative with your ideas.

Yes, this is actually true! The Global Commission on Aging, the Transamerica Center for Retirement Studies, and the U.S. Travel Association conducted a poll which came to the conclusion that travel, especially for older people, is great as it prevents dementia and Alzheimer's Disease. It was seen that women who went for a holiday every six years or less had a significantly higher risk of developing a heart attack or coronary death compared to women who went on holidays twice a year. For men, it was seen that those who did not take an annual vacation had a 30 per cent greater risk of dying from heart disease.
