He got his heart broken in Pyaar Ka Punchnama, and then again in Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2. In his upcoming movie, Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, he is looking to sabotage his best friend’s wedding. Are you noticing a developing theme? Although his filmography might not suggest a happy romantic life, actor Kartik Aaryan is totally different from his reel life avatar. In fact, in an exclusive chat with MH India, he shared his top tips to ensure that your first date is a total success. Guys, take note...
K.O. Your B.O.
Body odour is the ultimate turn off for women, says Kartik. “It is vital that you smell good, even more important than the clothes you wear. If you don’t smell good, you can pretty much guarantee that there won’t be a second date.” Keep in mind, this doesn’t mean you have to douse yourself in cologne before the date. Just keep it light and fresh, and you’re good to go!
Keep It Simple
Women can sense when you’re trying too hard from a mile away, so trying too hard to impress her is a definite no-no. “Keeping things simple in every aspect is the key to ensuring a second date. Right from your style to your confidence, everything should be in moderation—you shouldn’t seem too aloof, but you shouldn’t appear too eager either,” advises Kartik.
Know Exactly What You Want
Guys, women absolutely hate indecision. Think about what she likes and what she doesn’t, and take some time to plan an amazing date. Kartik suggests, “You should have a clear idea of how the date will go—where you’re going to take her and what you’re going to do there. Women find confident decision-making attractive, and being confused and unsure about what to do will put her off the idea of future dates.”
It might sound a little cliché, but we like to think of it as a classic: women are attracted to men who listen to what they say. Men who listen AND remember those things are even more attractive. “Take an interest in what she says,” Kartik recommends. “If you’re a good listener, you’ll go on many more dates for sure”
So there you have it, gentlemen. Take this advice on board, and never let that first date be the last.
