Ford recently announced the launch of a new compact utility hatchback, called Freestyle, for the Indian roads. The vehicle claims to be the first ever combination of CUV (Compact Utility Vehicle) and SUV and will give the customer a feel of both the worlds.
The company has kept the introductory price of the car at Rs 5, 09, 000 that promises a robust design, benchmark performance, innovative technologies and outstanding fuel efficiency. It is available in six different colours and four variants in both petrol as well as diesel fuel options.
“The all-new Ford Freestyle is a cool new car for the young, new age, emerging Indian customers who aspire to own an SUV-like vehicle,” said Anurag Mehrotra, President and Managing Director, Ford India. He adds, “The compact utility vehicle is yet another segment created by Ford and will complement our existing portfolio of capable SUVs like Ford EcoSport and Ford Endeavour.”

The 1.2 liter petrol engine makes the car the most powerful in its segment, as the three-cylinder dragon churns out 96 hp and 120 Nm of peak torque. Other exciting new features offered by the car include Ford's SYNC3 system with voice control and emergency Assist. The infotainment system also offers Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration. A few other functions worth noting are the auto headlamp, rain sensing wipers, Ford's MyKey with two USB ports, reverse parking camera, keyless entry and a push start.
