In boxing, we start with a skipping workout. It’s a very basic warmup for boxers. You can start with normal skipping and once you get used to this, you can do little variation with your legs. It’s a very good warmup and you can do it for say 3 mins - 5 mins. Once you get used to skipping you can go up to 10 mins also. As you can see I’m breathless, unable to talk so it’s a very good way to get your heart rate high. Slowly you can increase your intensity and do this.
Second exercise for your warmup is high knees. It’s a very simple exercise. All you have to do is lift your knees as quick as you can and high as possible. I’ll show you a quick demo. Speed up if you want to. You can also go slow. Do this for 30 - 45 seconds as fast as you can. If you’re fast enough 10 - 15 seconds should also be good enough.
This is exercise number 3 - jumping jacks. It’s a very easy movement. Make sure you keep your hands straight. It’s a very basic movement. So it for 30-45 seconds till your heart rate gets higher.
